You can't control what happens,

but you can control what happens next.

Despite the best laid plans, disputes happen.

Sometimes you need an advocate,

and sometimes a mediator.

The lawyers at WLF have seen the value

in both approaches.

Let us help you navigate the pitfall.

When you mediate your legal dispute, you can resolve the case on your own terms.

We offer in-person and on-line mediation settlement conferences.

Why Mediation?

Disputes may be the cost of doing business, but litigation doesn't have to be.

Litigation is expensive. And let's face it, judges and jurors are humans

whose experiences come with them to trial.

Mediation puts you in charge by giving you:

  • Validation: an opportunity to be heard by the opposing side and to hear their side

  • Empowerment: putting you in charge of the resolution, not the judge or jury

  • Speed: ending the dispute long before a court can (and time is money)

  • Economics:  saving you the costs of trial and attorney fees

  • Privacy:  making sure your business stays your business

Even when your don't settle, mediation is a valuable trial tool:

it gives you a reality check on your case.

Discourage litigation. Persuade your neighbors to compromise whenever you can. Point out to them how the nominal winner is often a real loser -- in fees, expenses, and waste of time. As a peacemaker the lawyer has a superior opportunity of being a good man. There will still be business enough.
